Here are you action steps
Step 1
Contact your friends and family and let them know what has happened (don’t suffer alone, you never know who can help)
Step 2
Consider exercising because this will help your mood
Step 3
Find out what your options are (contact different government agencies to see how they can help-pride can be fatal)
Step 4
If you feel you are going to harm yourself or your family call 911 (today is filled with sorrow but tomorrow promises hope-hold on and hold out for tomorrow)
Step 5
Be proactive and get some help when you see a change in your mood or a loved one that causes you to be concern (medication may be able to help you/them to get over the hump)
Step 6
Don’t overwhelm yourself with the size of the problem, pick one thing and focus on that
Step 7
If your children are able to work, then send them to work and pool your money until things turn around
Step 8
Use this time to spend more time with each other and get closer…talk, dream, live, laugh because this too shall pass…
Step 9
Don’t be alone, go out and find free things to do, be around people…this is not the time to turn down invitations (be humble, let them know you cannot afford a gift but you would love to partake in what ever they are celebrating, you never know who you may meet or how your situation may turn around…this may be a great way to network.)
Step 10
Avoid negative people, friends and things. If the news depresses you, turn it off, if a family member or friend depresses you, tell them or if you can… avoid them. Find things that are positive and do them.
Step 11
Do something to help someone else, sometimes when you volunteer, you may find that it makes your problem not as large as you think.
