Here are your action steps

Step 1
Go to this website www.consumerwarningnetwork.com and get a copy of the legal document required to request for the original mortgage note that you signed.

The original note you signed should be filed with the Clerk of Court and a copy should be sent to the attorney representing the lender, however, this is only in some jurisdiction. Contact your Clerk of Court in your jurisdiction to find out the rules where you live.

Step 2
Wait 30 days for the lender’s attorney to respond and if they don’t then file a (motion to compel) with the court request for a hearing. The (motion to compel) will order the lender to produce the documents you requested. You can find a blank copy of this document on the website given in step 1.

FYI-This will not stop your property from foreclosure however, it will give you some time to find a job and work out something with your lender. As you have found out the lenders are not sympathetic to you or helpful in anyway, which does not make sense-since they stand to make more money once you find a job and maintain your mortgage.

Do Not Give Up. Fight-Fight-Fight. It is not your fault your company has laid you off. It is not your fault that some people are so greedy that they are willing to crush the dreams of others for a profit. Make them wait, use the law to find your way out of this. When you feel like giving up-stand up and FIGHT some more.

Always be prepared and ask some questions, even if you know the answers already. The interviewers like this because it shows interest (don’t let the fact that you are very thorough keep you from getting the job)

Here are you action steps

Step 1
If you hire a programmer to work for you and he/she suggest using (go to meeting), make sure he/she turn off this program when they are done

Step 2
If you hire someone to build your website, pay for things yourself (they will ask for your credit cards but don’t give it out)

Step 3
If your programmer insist that he or she needs your password to your hosting company, don’t give it out. You can have your hosting company help you set up a FTP page and give that programmer access to that page. If they want access to your database, the hosting company can also help you to set up page so they will have access to your database and when they are finished, change your password. If your hosting company does not provide you with the resources to protect your email and personal information, you should consider changing hosting company.

Step 4
If you have personal things on your computer, remove them before hiring a programmer. If you have a Will or other things that may have you or your spouse’s Social Security number, delete those programs or delete any information that may cause your identity to be stolen

Step 5
If you find that your social security number has been compromised you can contact your credit reporting agencies and they will provide you with a pin number so no one else will have access to your credit information. You should also contact the police and get a police report if this happens

Step 6
If you can, try to use programmers that are in the same state as you are in because it is easier to prosecute the bad guy if he or she is in the same state, most states do not have an internet crime division and usually the bad guy lives in that state.

Step 7
Document and keep records of any experience you have (keep copies of emails, any correspondence, recordings)

Step 8
Turn off your computer when you are finish with it, if someone has taken over your computer with a remote access such as the program used on go to meeting, just closing your laptop does not mean that your computer is off, it is just sleeping and the bad guy will wake it up and get access to any of your personal records. Be sure to shut down your computer when you are finish.

Here are you action steps

Step 1
Contact your friends and family and let them know what has happened (don’t suffer alone, you never know who can help)

Step 2
Consider exercising because this will help your mood

Step 3
Find out what your options are (contact different government agencies to see how they can help-pride can be fatal)

Step 4
If you feel you are going to harm yourself or your family call 911 (today is filled with sorrow but tomorrow promises hope-hold on and hold out for tomorrow)

Step 5
Be proactive and get some help when you see a change in your mood or a loved one that causes you to be concern (medication may be able to help you/them to get over the hump)

Step 6
Don’t overwhelm yourself with the size of the problem, pick one thing and focus on that

Step 7
If your children are able to work, then send them to work and pool your money until things turn around

Step 8
Use this time to spend more time with each other and get closer…talk, dream, live, laugh because this too shall pass…

Step 9
Don’t be alone, go out and find free things to do, be around people…this is not the time to turn down invitations (be humble, let them know you cannot afford a gift but you would love to partake in what ever they are celebrating, you never know who you may meet or how your situation may turn around…this may be a great way to network.)

Step 10
Avoid negative people, friends and things. If the news depresses you, turn it off, if a family member or friend depresses you, tell them or if you can… avoid them. Find things that are positive and do them.

Step 11
Do something to help someone else, sometimes when you volunteer, you may find that it makes your problem not as large as you think.

Go to labor.state.ny.us (put in your state) and find out about grants to help your small business

Step 2
Ask if they offer free programs to help you to write the grant

Step 3
If you received a grant, please post it on this blog to help others

Tip (When you contact the labor department ask them about the “Step Program Grant” they are offering up to $50,000 dollars to help you to train new employees. They also help you to write the grant.)

Don’t just read this, help someone, if you know of a grant that will help a small business owner, post it or leave a comment on where to look.
